Apollo platform research and development leader Wang Jing proud announced Apollo2.0 officially opened. Apollo2.0 is the "strongest" version of the platform since launch, enabling simple urban road autopilot, marking the four modules of the Apollo platform including cloud services, software platform, reference hardware platform and reference vehicle platform fully lit . Apollo 2.0 brings the most complete solution and flexible architecture, opening up security services for the first time and further enhancing capabilities such as self-targeting, awareness, planning decisions, and cloud emulation. Meanwhile, Apollo also announced that it will fully support four major computing platforms including NVIDIA, Intel, NXP and Renesas by 2018. Lu Qi also revealed that Apollo global "circle of friends" breakthrough 90.Microsoft, TomTom, leading edge technology online learning platform in Silicon Valley Udacity (Udacity), Singapore smart travel company AMI and other international companies emerged and announced the cooperation plan. In the future, Apollo will provide autopilot services to its global partners outside of China based on Microsoft Cloud Azure. Apollo will also be working with TomTom on the world's high-definition map service. In addition, Apollo will work with AMI, a Singapore-based smart-travel company, to promote the commercialization of autonomous driving technologies in Singapore and Southeast Asia and to participate in local smart-traffic construction.
At the same time, Baidu President Zhang Yaqin announced that Baidu will set up more Apollo Global Labs to launch global auto-driving talent storage and accelerate the development and innovation of autonomous driving technology.
