Reuters reported on Thursday, SAP, Symantec and McAfee to customers worldwide sales and security software, which makes the Russian authorities to review their code. This is a worrying problem, because the US government agencies also use the software. American legislators and security experts tell Reuters that any loopholes Russia knows will bring security risks.
In order to operate in Russia, the Reuters said they had to allow local authorities to look at the code. But the Reuters did not find any examples of the Russian government's review of the source code's role in cyber attacks. But it is believed that the Russian government has affected the 2016 presidential election results and that the United States is vulnerable to cyber attacks. SAP, Symantec and McAfee have not commented on the reports of Reuters.
