In 2017, the shipment of wearable devices reached 115.4 million sets in FY10, representing an increase of 10.3% over 2016 (1.1046 billion units). However, the growth rate in 2017 marked a marked decline, with a year-on-year increase of 27.3% in 2016. Apple has surpassed Fitbit as the best-selling wearable device maker with 8 million units shipped in Q4 2017 with a market share of 21% and annual shipments of 17.7 million units with a market share of 15.3 %.
In the fourth quarter of 2017, Fitbit shipped 5.4 million units with a market share of 14.2%. Xiaomi shipped 4.9 million units with a market share of 13%. However, from a year-on-year basis, Xiaomi ranked second with 15.7 million devices and a market share of 13.6%, and Fitbit ranked third with 15.4 million and 13.3% market share.
