Microsoft invited university researchers, students, public and private sector employees to participate in this challenge. The team of entrants can create an interactive software application available in any area as long as the application's intelligent system uses data and technology from the Microsoft AI platform.
The Challenge will include two awards of $ 25,000, a $ 15,000 runner-up and a 10,000 runner-up.
Applications may involve but are not limited to the following areas:
Example: Enhance human capabilities by training, sensing, and creating intelligent applications with models that tag data.
Example: The smart algorithm is built into your App, Web site, robot, to have the ability to see, hear, say, and understand the needs of users.
Example: Pre-installed data sciencevirtual machineCreate a friction-free end-to-end data science workflow for building applications that rely on data analysis, machine learning, AI training.
Example: Maximize resources by quickly configuring and expanding the cluster, without knowledge of container coordination.
Example: Deploy virtual machines, containers, and connect shared storage to train any AI framework and deep learning library.
Example: Use the open source Bot Builder SDK to build a dialog system.
The developer's submission should include an available interactive software application that uses Microsoft's AI service and an application that can be used to demonstrate the functionality of the applicationvideoAnd the documentation provided by the template.
If you are an affiliate of an academic institution and you apply on February 15, 2018, you qualify for Azure resources (as of the expiration date). The key time nodes of the Challenge are as follows:

Your applications and videos should be submitted to the Microsoft Cloud AI Research Challenge on April 15, 2018, at 11:59 PM Pacific Time.
The list of winners will be announced in May 2018 and must be at least 18 years of age.
