On April 1, China UnionPay issued an announcement stating that China UnionPay and TenPay Payment Technology Co., Ltd. signed a cooperation agreement and formally launched the WeChat payment bar code payment business cooperation. With immediate effect, China UnionPay will provide WeChat payment barcode payment service access test services to acquirers. Each acquirer can log on to the UnionPay open platform to obtain relevant documents, and access them in batches according to the guidelines of China UnionPay and WeChat.

In order to fully implement the “Regulations of the People's Bank of China on Regulating Payment of Innovative Business” (Yinfa  No. 281) and the “Circular of the People’s Bank of China on Printing and Distributing” (Yinfa  No. 296) and other regulatory documents, China UnionPay Tenpay Payment Technology Co., Ltd. signed a cooperation agreement and formally launched the WeChat payment barcode payment service cooperation. The staff of the two sides, with a high sense of mission and a sense of historical responsibility, ruled out difficulties such as tight schedules and heavy tasks. They worked overtime to ensure that the system was brought online before the policy set time.
Currently, China UnionPay and WeChat Payment have completed system docking, joint debugging testing and production verification, and all preparations are in full preparation. From now on, China UnionPay will provide WeChat payment barcode payment service access testing services to acquirers, and each acquiring institution can access the UnionPay open platform (domain name is https://open.unionpay.com, institutional version) to obtain relevant documents, according to China UnionPay and WeChat Payment Guidelines were accessed in batches.
