Foreign companies steal pirated Office was found by Microsoft: $5 million

According to Softpedia, Microsoft has brought a company based on Rhodes island to court because of the use of pirated Office software.

This hapless company called Hanna Instruments, Microsoft discovered last year when demanding $72000 of the original licensing fees, and warned that if not implemented, may face a fine of $5 million will be higher, Hanna can be completely ignored.


In the evidence of Microsoft, Hanna used two genuine Key of Office, one is the key that is authorized to deploy to China's education market for mass deployment, the other is purchased through illegal channels.

Now, Microsoft has halted the first Key's use in Hanna's US computer, and said it has shut down second illegal Key at the same time.
