Ubuntu 18.04 new functions
Ubuntu 18.04 is the most exciting version of Ubuntu over the years. The long term support Version (LTS) usually focuses more on conservative software refinement rather than major changes. Traditionally, this is not a bad thing. People choose to launch LTS to ensure sustained support. But "bionic beavers" are not the case.
For those who upgrade from 16.04 to Ubuntu 18.04, it can be said that Ubuntu is the biggest change in the near future.
Almost every part of the operating system is different and requires improvement or new functions. A new desktop, new kernel, new applications, new locks, new workflows, and more changes, so if you feel a few Ubuntu versions do not change in the functional department - it's not your own feeling - then you will feel that the Ubuntu 18.04 LTS is upgrades enough to hold you. There is a long, persistent impression. After all, we are talking about the most popular, probably the most famous desktop Linux distribution. The bold change of Ubuntu has had a huge impact on millions of open source enthusiasts all over the world.
New installation function
The first major change will be noticed only when Ubuntu 18.04 is installed. The new minimum installation provides the same operating system for you, but the installed applications are less', and the installation of Ubuntu has never been so simple, but in Bionic, the experience becomes faster and simpler. Several options previously distributed on multiple screens are now concentrated in one window.
The new option includes a new "minimal installation" which installs the same Ubuntu operating system without most of the software that is usually attached. You will get a web browser, file manager and basic tools. Everything else has disappeared. Ubuntu created Swap files instead of Swap partitions during installation. This change does not affect existing installations and is applicable to meaningful systems (that is, most). This change helps to improve the performance of the system.
