A few days ago, the HUAWEI base opened the service of the UAV, and the unmanned aerial vehicle would send the coffee to you in front of the public. It would take only 30 seconds to complete the 20 minute walk.
It is reported that the business is jointly launched by Shenzhen Telecom, HUAWEI and three billion airlines. Based on the Shenzhen TechCity joint innovation project, the three parties jointly develop innovative applications of networked UAVs in commercial 4G networks.
First, the mobile phone SIM card is embedded in the UAV, which enables the UAV to connect to the 4G network. UAV can achieve data transmission, remote control and precise positioning.
The second step is to help the UAV achieve real-time high-precision positioning through the dynamic real-time differential positioning function of base station RTK (real-time kinematic). The positioning accuracy of traditional GPS is only 2-10 meters, and the accuracy of RTK can reach 30 centimeters.
At present, HUAWEI Wireless X Labs, which involves the open platform of networked UAV research, is working with global partners to study the various applications of RTK technology in cellular networks, providing wide coverage, low cost and high precision positioning services for UAVs and autopilot.
