According to the Wall Street Journal, Apple will launch three new iPhones in 2019, including two OLED models and one LCD model. The high-end "iPhone 11" (iPhone 11 Max?) will be equipped with a three-camera rear system. The successor to the iPhone XR still uses LCD displays, but will upgrade the dual camera system.

Earlier this week, a rendering image of the alleged flagship iPhone of 2019 was revealed showing a new three-camera rear design. The Wall Street Journal report confirms this again. The Wall Street Journal says the new camera feature will be an important part of the flagship iPhone in 2019. Although the report calls the model "the iPhone 11", the final marketing name has not yet been announced, and we won't know until September.

However, the report points out that the 5.8-inch iPhone 11 still uses a dual camera system, and the three cameras seem to be unique to the largest and most expensive models. This is different from Apple's approach to the iPhone XS series. Apart from screen size, the 5.8-inch XS is the same design as the 6.5-inch XS Max.

According to the Wall Street Journal, Apple may abandon LCD screens in 2020, and all the iPhones released later next year will use OLED screens. The main functions of the iPhone will not change easily in 2019, but the changes of the iPhone will be much greater in 2020 than at this stage.

From the previously exposed rendering images, the still prototype iPhone 11 has a larger camera module, which contains three cameras, a flash and a microphone. Such designs are not common in Apple's hardware.
