Chen Xiongxiong said that in recent years, China's information and communication industry has been driven by innovation and development, and has adhered to the combination of corporate leadership, government guidance, independent innovation and open cooperation to accelerate the promotion of 5G R&D and industrialization. "With the joint efforts of all parties, China's 5G development has achieved remarkable results and already has a commercial industrial base."

In terms of standard setting, Chinese companies fully participate in the formulation of 5G international standards, strengthen 5G international cooperation, and work with international companies to promote the formation of a global unified 5G standard. The 5G vision, concept and demand put forward by China have been highly recognized by the International Organization for Standardization, and many key technologies such as the new network architecture have been adopted by international standards organizations.

In terms of R&D trials, we organized domestic and foreign companies to build a multi-vendor public test environment and advance relevant test work in stages. At present, the third phase of the 5G technology R&D test has been basically completed.HuaweiEnterprises such as ZTE and Datang have achieved pre-commercial levels in IF system equipment. Qualcomm and HiSilicon are expected to offer commercial chip products in the near future.

However, Chen Shaoxiong also reminded that China's 5G development still faces many challenges such as the shortcomings of the industrial base, the lack of integration and application, and the increasingly fierce international competition. It is necessary for all parties in production, education and research to work together and jointly.
