Originally, the European Space Agency ESA is expected to carry out a joint impact plan AIDA with NASA, which was later cancelled for some reason. Recently, the ESA also announced a similar plan to be launched in 2026 - the Hera plan, which plans to investigate two asteroids in the binary system and collect data on the subsequent orbits of the asteroids after the DART scheduled impact plan.

Dual Asteroid Redirection Test (DART) Program Mission: A spacecraft designed to be a "kinetic energy impactor" will be hit by an asteroid that does not directly pose a threat to test the feasibility of using a similar system to avoid asteroid impact in the future.
