According to Reuters, Google has formed a new team of engineers in the southern Indian city of Bengaluru, capital of Karnataka, to actively promote the design of its own smartphone and data center processors, and will start a new semiconductor factory there in the future. The report points out that the new team will include at least 16 engineers and four external employees, and will continue to increase the number of employees in the future, including engineers from Intel, NVIDIA and Qualcomm.

Since the advent of Apple's A4 processor, Apple and Google have steadily promoted chip design in the past decade. In recent years, they have been involved in special chips for graphics, device images and artificial intelligence processing.
