Samsung is not fighting alone. Huawei, the world's second largest smartphone maker after Samsung, is rumoured to show off its first foldable phone. LG, Nokia, OPPO and Millet are also planning to leave a deeper impression at this year's Barcelona Conference.

Compared with last year's exhibition, this year's MWC is more important. We will see the power behind three extremely powerful mobile phone trends, which are likely to set limits for mobile phones over the next decade. They are foldable design, 5G data speed and amazing complex photography brought about by multiple rear cameras. With smartphone sales stagnating globally, the products and announcements announced by MWC offer hope for revitalizing the world's fastest growing smartphone industry.

Here are the actions we hope to see mobile phones and brands take to meet this challenge:

1. Samsung

Possible number of mobile phones: 3 to 4

Samsung Press Conference: San Francisco, February 20, 11 a.m.

Samsung MWC booth opened in Barcelona on February 25

Samsung has released the Galaxy S10 and is likely to launch a number of other mobile phones and devices. But the cellphone giant will definitely seize the opportunity to expand its booth and display all its interesting new toys, especially the banana yellow Galaxy S10E. Although the world's largest mobile phone manufacturer did not host a press conference, it is speculated that Samsung may launch its first foldable mobile phone.

2. OPPO

Possible number of mobile phones: 1

OPPO Press Conference: February 23, 2 p.m.

In 2018, OPPO brought us Find X, so we hope it will have a similar display. If the rumors are true, OPPO may be preparing for the launch of OPPO F11 Pro, a full-screen mobile phone with a 48-megapixel camera popping up from the fuselage and excellent low-light shooting. It seems that there will also be amazing gradient designs.

3. millet

Possible number of mobile phones: 2 to 3

Millet Press Conference: 24 February 10:30 a.m.

Mimi has previously released a video showing its unique foldable mobile phone design, which has stolen some of Samsung's attention from foldable mobile phones. We hope this is what millet prepared for MWC. However, speculation about Mi 9, millet's flagship mobile phone, also makes people feel cloudy. Millet has used the opportunity of MWC to launch its new mobile phone before, and it will also build a higher-end Mi mobile phone, including Pro version or special version.

4. HUAWEI

Possible number of mobile phones: 2

Huawei Press Conference: 4 p.m. Feb. 24

Glory Press Conference: February 26, 4 p.m.

Huawei has confirmed that it plans to launch a 5G foldable mobile phone in February, possibly integrating the most important mobile trend of 2019 into an extraordinarily expensive device. This will be an important moment for the struggling second-largest smartphone brand and an opportunity to surpass Samsung. It is widely expected that Samsung's foldable mobile phone will appear in San Francisco a few days before Huawei's press conference.

5. Nokia/HMD

Possible number of mobile phones: 1 to 2

Nokia Mobile Press Conference: 4 p.m. Feb. 24

We expect only one Nokia phone from HMD to appear, but it may be quite good. HMD is a company licensed by Nokia brand.

6. LG

Possible number of mobile phones: 2 to 3

LG Press Conference: 7:30 p.m. on February 24

LG has released its own LG G8 ThinQ phone before MCW, equipped with a 3D front-end camera, which can unlock the phone as safely as the previous iPhone XS and iPhone X. LG G8 ThinQ is also expected to have a second screen attachment. We don't know much about LG G8, nor do we know if LG will display foldable phones like other companies. But it can be speculated that LG may release a 5G device. As we all know, this mobile phone manufacturer has also introduced mid-range mobile phones like LG X Power, so it is possible that such mobile phones will appear at the conference.

7. SONY

Possible number of mobile phones: 3

Sony Press Conference: 8:30 a.m. on February 25

8. OnePlus

Possible number of mobile phones: 1

OnePlus will not hold a press conference at MWC, but it will be held locally. The company plans to show off its 5G mobile phone, which was released in December last year and will be sold by the British operator EE.
