Barclay Bank of England, one of the largest financial institutions in the world, announced an agreement with Alipay on March 14th: Barclaycard, a subsidiary of Barclay, which handles nearly half of the British card business, will help its over 110 thousand British businesses to access Alipay.

Its business network covers retail, scenic spots, hotels, supermarkets, restaurants, gas stations and so on. According to the UK tourism board, the number of Chinese tourists visiting Britain in 2019 will increase to 483 thousand, an increase of 43% over 2017.
