Google updates iOS version Gboard to add Google translation support

via:cnBeta.COM     time:2019/3/16 2:02:32     readed:78

The translation option appears in the suggestion bar of the Gboard keyboard, or the Google button on the screen is selected to open the translation. The Gboard keyboard will try to automatically detect the language, but users can also manually select the content to be translated. Although support for Google translation has just been implemented on the iOS version of Gboard, it has been supported for some time on the Android version of Gboard. Android users first acquired this feature in March 2017, along with GIF and Emoji recommendations and improved voice input.

Google Translate is not the only feature that has been added to Gboard in recent months. Gboard's latest update list includes support for Albanian, Lao, Mongolian, Thai and Khmer, as well as new camera effects for GIF functionality, tactile feedback on keys, and optimization to reduce the overall size of the application. Gboard, launched in 2016, allows users to access various Google-driven services via keyboards. In addition to search and translation, users can also search YouTube, open Google Maps, search for contacts and call Google assistants.
