The ordinary desktop S series will launch Comet Lake in the fourth quarter of this year, with the highest upgrade to 10 cores, and the same 14nm process.

On the workstation side, the new Xeon has been released, and soon there will be Xeon E (based on Coffee Lake Refresh) and the updated Comet Lake architecture.

According to a roadmap leak earlier this week, Comet Lake is followed by Roket Lake, which is also 14nm. Intel is expected to popularize 10nm process products on the desktop in 2022.

As a result, Sunny Cove's new microarchitecture may not appear on desktop CPUs for the past two years.
