WeChat, Alipay, bank three party grab "meat"

With the advent of the dividend policy, banks, Alipay and WeChat want to get a little more on the ETC cake. For them, ETC business will mean the collection of new businesses, traffic and new incremental markets.

Wechat also announced that it would be possible to directly bid for ETC on Wechat applets or urban services in 35 seconds at the latest.
There are many small programs in the search for "ETC" in the main line of Wechat. Take "ETC assistant" as an example, fill in relevant information and choose various ways to deal with ETC, including Tencent King Card (limited new users), Ping An Bank credit card (limited new users), Bank of Communications credit card (limited new users), owner. Members, or pay a deposit of 99 yuan (the deposit will be returned in full after the owner activates), the owner fills in the relevant information according to the process, and then binds the Wechat to pay successfully. Wechat will send ETC equipment to the owner. ETC equipment is free of charge. At the same time, the high-speed toll is 95% of the national toll.
Not long ago, Alipay announced the launch of free ETC service with the postal savings bank of China. In order to facilitate the handling of ETC, Alipay Union Bank has launched ETC free application and provides equipment mail service.
Alipay said it will further expand the channels of cooperative banks in the future, so that more users can enjoy convenient services.
In the case of Alipay and WeChat, Alipay chooses (first issue) to cooperate with China postal savings bank. In Alipay search for ETC services, bind the postal savings bank of China, deduct the bank card, pay the deposit and fill in the relevant information, then you can manage the ETC business free of charge, and Alipay will send ETC equipment. For the owner, the deposit will be returned to the owner after installation (i.e. the deposit of ETC equipment deposited before processing is 130 yuan). The ETC equipment handled on Alipay is free of equipment costs, and the high-speed toll is 5% off of the total nationwide toll.
WeChat and Alipay have little difference in user preferences, while banks will open up a new ETC channel in their own APP, and launch a series of preferential actions to attract more users to process online.
In the face of the huge incremental market of ETC, banks, Alipay and WeChat are reluctant to give up the "fat meat". "Fuel card", "free car wash", "invite friends to send cash red envelopes" and other means of getting customers emerge in endlessly, compared with the previous, the current ETC process is simpler and online. Which of these simplified and online processes will attract you?
Behind ETC is a huge increase in payment. For banks and two major Internet giants, promoting ETC is a low-cost way to get customers. For banks, the car owners themselves have good consumption capacity. Promoting ETC business is also very useful for banks to carry out related business in the later stage.
Under the new policy, we will encourage the use of market-oriented means to expand the coverage of mobile payment lanes and basically achieve full coverage of all toll lanes by December 2019. Encourage the combination of credit system construction, promote the application of "background account", and bring mobile payment into the network charging and settlement system.
Data show that by the end of March this year, the total number of ETC users in China is 80.72 million, the installation rate of automobiles is 34%, and the payment rate is about 45%. There is still a big gap between the requirements of withdrawal stations.
ETC payment scenario has the characteristics of high frequency application, high customer value and important traffic payment scenario. Undoubtedly, behind the "senseless traffic" of ETC, it is a contest for the payment mode of China's expressway.
