In 2018, among the top ten public cloud IaaS service providers in the world, four service providers in China were successfully listed, namely: Alibaba, Tencent, China Telecom, and Jinshan Cloud. Since 2015, Alibaba Cloud has started the internationalization process with the help of Chinese companies or Ali-based companies; in 2018, under the promotion of the World Cup in Russia, Tencent has also begun to promote cloud services overseas; Jinshan Cloud has also increased in the past two years. The pace of construction of overseas sites has been launched in March 2018 in Russia. In the future, Indonesia, North America, Germany and other regions will be built and expanded according to business needs. State-owned Cloud China Telecom's Tianyi Cloud is mainly deployed in the country relying on the advantages of traditional government and enterprise customers.
However, Zhugelan also stressed that as some public cloud IaaS service providers in China continue to expand their overseas nodes and enhance their comprehensive service capabilities, domestic and international service providers will generate more positive confrontation. China's public cloud IaaS service providers need to continuously strengthen their R&D capabilities. To expand the industry's solution capabilities and focus on building a comprehensive service ecosystem to achieve greater success in a wider global competition.
