The statement focusing on 5G equipment supplier issues urged the UK government to make a decision as soon as possible on which companies to participate in the country's 5G construction. According to the statement, there are only three potential equipment suppliers in the UK market – Huawei, Nokia and Ericsson. Restricting specific suppliers is not only bad for market competition, lowering safety standards, but also causing time and cost losses. “Government These factors must be weighed."

The committee also stressed: "China has a dynamic economy and increasing global influence. It is an important economic and diplomatic partner of the UK. We must maintain this relationship on the basis of respecting each other."

“We have been involved in UK network deployment for the past 18 years,” Zhang Jiangang, senior vice president of Huawei, said in a statement to Xinhua News Agency. “We recognize that market diversification is conducive to enhancing network resilience. 5G networks are vital to the UK and are the foundation of the future digital and mobile economy... Providing world-class technology to our customers has always been our top priority.”

With the help of Huawei equipment, some major telecom operators in the UK have recently launched 5G services in several cities in the UK.
