Recently, a circular issued by Baidu Ethics Committee was circulated on the internet, informing 12 anti-corruption cases within the company. Apart from the previous cases, which amounted to more than 100,000, many cases are actually "trivial matters" - false report of overtime, false traffic charges, acceptance/request of customer gifts, illegal use of company technology, and neglect of company insurance. The lowest amount is less than 4,000 yuan. In many large companies, these are just the common behavior of pulling wool.
However, after these minor incidents were traced down, Baidu still took stern measures, either to dismiss, or to submit to the public security organs for treatment, the strength is not small.
Following is the detailed announcement of Baidu Ethics Committee on July 31
We are now informing you of the serious cases of violation of discipline investigated and dealt with within the Ministry of Professional Ethics Construction of our company. As former Baidu people, the following people are enjoying the job opportunities and newspapers given by Baidu. They should have done their duty for the development of the company, but they use their power to dig company horns, and trample on the interests of the company to satisfy their personal desires wantonly. They have lost the basic conscience of the professionals and violated the red line of the company system. If the company is suspected of committing a crime, it shall be handed over to the public security organ according to law for further investigation of its corresponding legal liability. After discussion and decision by the Ethics Committee of the Company, the following persons have been dismissed by the Company for serious violations of discipline.
] Shi Fan, the Sales Department of Shanghai's key customers, has taken advantage of his position to seek huge amounts of personal benefits. He is suspected of bribery by non-state functionaries and has been formally investigated by the police. At the same time, Shifan also has false reimbursement behavior. 2. When Zhang of Baijia Business Department managed Baiqian Outsourcing Team, he took advantage of his position and charged more than 310,000 yuan for the benefit of two suppliers. Zhang Biaoli returned his position conveniently, and earned more than 70,000 yuan for three female employees of the supplier by falsely reporting the overhead fee and rewarding the performance. 3. IDG Strategic Operations Department allows the outsourcing suppliers of unmanned vehicle road survey services to be managed conveniently and receive more than 150,000 yuan from the two suppliers.
