Edge is the default browser pre-installed in Win10. Unexpectedly, users don't buy it, and even the share combined with IE is not as good as Google Chrome. In view of this situation, Microsoft has made two major adjustments, one is no longer to maintain the Edge browser of the self-research kernel, to fully switch to the Chromium open source camp, and the other is to launch IE mode for the new Edge browser.
At present, the new Edge browser has entered Canary and Dev channel preview, and also supports Win7 system.

Although IE is bloated, old-fashioned and unable to configure rich plug-in extensions, there are still a large number of dedicated pages, such as online banking payment, examination registration and so on, which are only perfectly compatible with IE. In another way, the above approach will also help to improve the installation rate of the new Edge in the future.
However, for the time being, only Win10 Insider users can see this feature after installing the new Edge by entering Edge://Flags, in the address bar and searching
