Their main argument is that for AR / VR gadgets,4KStreaming media and data applications require them to have a large extra spectrum.

Traditional Wi-Fi technology has been using the 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands, while 6GHz is a natural extension. The US Federal Communications Commission proposed last year to manage some of the 1200MHz licensed and unlicensed usage rules, but has been criticized by telecom companies who are using 6GHz antennas for "backhaul" - mainly the link between the mobile tower and the core network.

The CTIA, which represents the wireless communications industry, believes that there are many possibilities for communication interference, and that the United States is best to license the 6 GHz band to operators so that it can lead the global 5G connection.

However, this problem isapple,Google,Microsoft, Facebook, Broadcom, Qualcomm,HP,IntelAnd Marvel's letter to the FCC indicates that a solution called Automatic Frequency Coordination (AFC) can solve the problem, but it will increase the cost of registering the device in the database.

It is worth noting that these companies want to use the 6 GHz band in very low power (VLP) mobile devices that are remote from the microwave antenna to prevent interference, even at close range. These companies say they can achieve speeds of up to 2 Gbps over a 3 meter range on a 160MHz channel.
