On March 11 this year, all Boeing 737max8 models operating on domestic routes were grounded due to the accidents of lion airlines and Egypt airlines.
On the afternoon of the 12th,At a press conference held by CAACThe head of the relevant department of CAAC responded to the Boeing 737max software update and the period of lifting the ban.
Liu Luzong, director of the comprehensive Department of CAAC, said the three principles proposed by CAAC for resuming flight operations had not changed.
The first is the update of aircraft design, which requires AIRWORTHINESS APPROVAL. The second is that pilots should get sufficient and effective training and recover information. Third, as for the two previous Boeing 737 Max accidents, the conclusions of relevant investigations should be clear and the improvement measures should be effective.
Liu said that with regard to the software design update of Boeing 737max,CAAC is conducting airworthiness review on 737max aircraft software design update and other flight control system issues in accordance with the airworthiness implementation procedures of China and the United States。
At present, Boeing is updating the software of 737 max, which is still in progress. CAAC raised our important concerns on the reliability and safety assessment of the system.
On December 12, American Airlines again postponed the return of Boeing 737 Max to April 7, 2020. Regulators grounded the 737 Max after two fatal crashes in five months killed 346 people.
