Samsung has set up a 120 Hz high refresh rate for the galaxy S20 series, which is the first high refresh rate flagship of the Galaxy S series.

The 120 Hz refresh rate for the Galaxy S20 series can only be turned on at FHD resolution, and the refresh rate will drop to 60 Hz. after turning on the resolution

May 6 news, according to AnandTech reports, samsung Galaxy S20 series can not open at the same time QHD resolution 120 refresh rate due to hardware constraints.

AnandTech points out that, the samsung Galaxy S20 series has only one MIPI interface through the DDIC (display driver ic, display panel driver chip), making the bandwidth insufficient to support the Galaxy S20 series on QHD resolution 120 refresh rate.

One plus eight Pro has two MIPI interfaces, so the machine can simultaneously turn on 120 Hz refresh rate QHD resolution, both refresh rate and resolution.

It is reported that,Mipi is the abbreviation of mobile industry processor interface.Mipi aims to solve the contradiction between the increasing high bandwidth requirements of high-definition image (video) transmission and the low-speed rate of traditional interface. It is widely used in various embedded image devices, such as smart phones, VR, smart TV, smart wearable devices, ADAS systems, etc.
