Microsoft chose Google's dual screen window manager for surface duo

Microsoft has just announced on its developer blog that it will introduce support for google's Jetpack window manager for Surface Duo dual-screen mobile devices.It is reported that Google has added support for dual screen devices to jetpack window manager. For developers, the API means that they can develop compatible applications for both surface duo and Samsung Galaxy Z flip.

Developers using the API are now able to identify two important elements of the folding screen: display function and device status.

The device status API allows the developer to detect the hardware status of the hinge, such as closed, partially opened, fully opened (flat) or flipped.

Software giants say that from now on, Surface Duo app developers will be able to choose to migrate using Surface Duo SDK、 that are ready for deployment or the folding screens Jetpack API libraries offered to google.
