The announcement said that existing wechat users in the United States may continue to use wechat, but wechat may not be able to obtain new users in the United States, and the quality of service provided by wechat may be negatively affected.

Prohibited transaction identification imposes some restrictions and prohibitions on the use of wechat applications in the United States, including the prohibition of publishing or maintaining wechat applications through online mobile app stores in the United States, and the provision of certain technical services to run or optimize wechat in the United States Applications such as content push services and Internet hosting and point-to-point services.
The company understands that after the prohibition under the prohibited transaction identification takes effect:
(1) Users of existing wechat applications in the United States may continue to use wechat applications for communication;
(2) Wechat applications may not be able to obtain new users in the United States, and the continuous updating of wechat applications by current users in the United States may also be negatively affected;
(3) The quality of service provided through wechat applications can be negatively affected. The company is further assessing the impact of prohibited transaction identification on the group.
