Weisheng announced at the meeting that,Viabase and viatech, its 100% holding subsidiaries, sold part of the IP property rights related to x86 chipsets to Shanghai Zhaoxin, with a transaction price of about 138 million US dollars.
At the same time, viabase sold part of its x86 processor related technology, data and other IP property rights to Shanghai Zhaoxin, with a transaction price of about 118 million US dollars.
The total price of the two deals is about 256 million US dollars, about RMB1.72 billion yuan.
Weisheng stressed that the transaction is an asset activation, can increase revenue, without affecting future business development, and after the completion of the transaction, Weisheng and its subsidiaries approved the continuation of the current business.
Chen Wenqi said that Weisheng and Shanghai Zhaoxin have been playing together for a long time. This transaction is also the decision of both sides after in-depth discussions. They will continue to cooperate in the future, and wish Shanghai Zhaoxin better and better.
Via the deal, Viagra expects to make a profit of $196 million, contributing NT $11 per share.
At present, Weisheng indirectly holds 14.75% shares in Shanghai Zhaoxin.
