Microsoft has been announcing vertical tabs for its edge browser for some time. The feature has been available on Canary channel since August. All users who download this version need to enable a logo on the settings page. Now, it seems to be coming to the development channel today. The message came from an edge dev tweet that has been deleted.
The tweet strangely links to a blog post earlier this month about the new favorite experience, saying that edge will soon have a new build of edge dev.
Microsoft releases new builds to the development channel every week, usually on Tuesday, so there's no problem at this point in time. Given that this feature has been available on the Canary channel for so long, it seems likely that you will come to dev as well.
The team is likely to include more detailed instructions on how to use the vertical tagging feature along with the new features announced in the dev version.
Unlike Canary builds, testers may not need to activate a flag to use this feature in the dev channel. However, when the vertical label function is activated, there will be a switcher in the upper left corner to turn it on or off.
