After the release of the sharp dragon 5000 processor, in addition to the powerful single core and multi-core performance, many players are still struggling with overclocking. Recently, the buck overclocking is very popular.

Now the good news is here,Amd has made it clear that it will support step-down overclocking. Next year, it will be integrated into its own overclocking software. The multi-core performance of the 9 5900x can be improved by 10%.

Overclocking usually needs to increase the voltage, which is equivalent to increasing the CPU power to improve the performance. Reducing the voltage and overclocking is the opposite way. Reducing the voltage can not only reduce the heating and power consumption, but also improve the overclocking ability.

Overclocking should be pressurized or depressurized, this problem is actually more complex, need to toss and try.

Amd has obviously noticed the needs of players and will add it to PbO2 (precision boost overdrive 2) overclockingAdaptive decompression technologyTo reduce the voltage as much as possible under low load and high load, instead of simply reducing the voltage in the whole process.

AMD will provide detailed step-down settings in PbO2. A unit is 3-5mv, which can support 30-50mv voltage adjustment at most, and level 10 is equivalent to 30-50mv voltage adjustment.

According to the AMD test, compared with simple fixed value depressurization,The adaptive buck technology can improve the single core performance by 2% and the multi-core performance by 10%.

Amd said the technology is more suitable for situations with multiple CCDs and fewer cores in the CCD, and the 9 5900x is the most suitable because it has two CCDs, with six cores per CCD instead of eight.

Adaptive step-down technology will first appear in the new version of BIOS, and the microcode agesa 1180 will support it first. However, amd intends to integrate it into ryzen master overclocking software. Next year, it will be upgraded, and overclocking will be easier.

Due to the need for irreversible CPU optimization,So this feature only supports the Reebok 5000 series processorThe Ruilong 3000 series is not a big deal.
