As a staunch follower of the United States, Britain has finally begun to implement the new rules. According to British media reports, the British Telecom network will ban the use of Huawei's equipment, according to a new draft law proposed by the British Parliament on Tuesday.
If BT operators violate the rules and use Huawei's network equipment, they may be fined up to 10% or 100000 pounds (878000 yuan) a day if they violate the regulations, and the Telecom (Security) act will improve the security standards of BT networks and eliminate threats from high-risk suppliers.
In July, the British government decided to ban the use of Huawei equipment in the country's 5g networks from the end of 2027. The telecommunication (Security) act aims to elevate the UK government's decision in July to the law, so as to provide a law enforcement basis for the management of any risks from so-called high-risk suppliers in the future, and to impose severe penalties on telecom operators who violate the rules.
