The effective rate of the vaccine against new coronavirus was as high as 95%. Pfizer's vaccine has been approved by regulators in the UK, Canada, Bahrain and Saudi Arabia. As in these countries, the U.S. health department is expected to give priority to the first batch of vaccines for medical workers and residents of nursing homes.

In addition to the priority groups, other Americans may start vaccinating in January next year, with universal coverage expected in April.

Nearly 300000 people have died of new coronal infections in the United States, and the arrival of the Pfizer biontech vaccine offers a glimmer of hope. The U.S. epidemic is facing the most severe situation so far, with about 200000 people testing positive every day.

Pfizer biontech vaccine is the first new crown vaccine to show effective results at a later stage of its testing process. It is a new type of vaccine called mRNA vaccine. The new vaccine uses a small piece of genetic code from the new coronavirus to guide the body against the virus and build immunity.

"The vaccine contains a small piece of mRNA for the new coronavirus, which guides cells in the body to make the virus's unique" spike "protein, the FDA said. When a person receives the vaccine, they produce copies of the spike protein, which doesn't lead to disease, but triggers a defensive response from the immune system against the new coronavirus

The vaccine was divided into two injections with an interval of 21 days. Immunity began to take effect after the first dose and reached full effect seven days after the second dose.

But the vaccine must be stored at ultra-low temperature, which makes logistics difficult. Pfizer said it would use special transport containers made of dry ice to deliver frozen vaccines directly to vaccination sites.

Pfizer has agreed to supply 100 million doses of the vaccine to the United States by March.
