Beijing, January 20 (Guo Chaokai) - at 0:25 Beijing time on January 20, China successfully launched tiantong-1 03 satellite with long march-3b carrier rocket (hereinafter referred to as long march-3b rocket) at Xichang Satellite Launch Center. The satellite successfully entered the scheduled orbit, the mission was a complete success, and China's space launch ushered in a good start in 2021.

Tiantong-1 satellite mobile communication system is a satellite mobile communication system independently developed and constructed by China, which is composed of space segment, ground segment and user terminal. Tiantong No.1 03 The satellite is developed by the China Academy of space technology. After it is launched into orbit, it will form a space-time integrated mobile communication network with the ground mobile communication system to provide all-weather, all-time, stable and reliable voice, short message, data and other mobile communication services for users in China and its surrounding areas, the Middle East, Africa and most sea areas of the Pacific Ocean and the Indian Ocean.

The chang-3b rocket to carry out the launch mission was developed by the China Academy of launch vehicle technology. Zhang Yipu, director of China's launch vehicle technology research institute and general deputy director designer of the 3A series rockets, told reporters that there are two major changes in the long-term development of the 3B rocket in this mission.

First, it is the first time to realize the de mission of the instrument cabin. In recent years, the Chang 3A series Rockets have been de tasked, and the structure below the third stage of the rocket has been de tasked gradually. However, the fairing diameters of G2 and G3 configurations are different, which are 4 meters and 4.2 meters respectively. There are still two configurations with different local states, and each configuration can only perform specific launching tasks.

Through a large number of simulation and ground verification tests, the researchers unified the configuration of the instrument cabin and realized the de mission design. Now, the rocket's self instrumentation module, three-stage, two-stage and one-stage are de tasked, which can be completely decoupled from the mission, and the mission adaptability of the rocket is further improved.

Second, it is the first time to use the data design system of launch site in the liquid rocket of China Academy of launch vehicle technology. The system mainly includes aiming data design module and wind compensation data design module. Among them, the aiming data design module has been officially used, which cancels the previous manual calculation and paper document transmission link, fully realizes the automatic calculation and transmission of data, effectively avoids the risk of human error, and improves work efficiency.

With the strong support and cooperation of Xichang Satellite Launch Center, the wind compensation data design system for launch site has also been put into trial use. The system involves many links. At present, the meteorological system, data design system and flight software test system of the launch site have been connected through the network. After completion, the full automation ability of the design, generation, transmission and verification of the wind compensation data of the launch site will be effectively improved.

The mission is the 358th space flight of the long march series of launch vehicles.
