In 2017, Dongfang superring realized the high confinement operation of 50 million degree plasma continuous discharge for 101.2 seconds for the first time in the world, realizing the leap from 60 seconds to 100 seconds.

At the end of 2018, Dongfang super ring achieved 100 million degree plasma discharge for the first time, with the heating power exceeding 10 MW and the plasma energy storage increased to 300 kJ.

In April 2020,Dongfang super ring has been running at 100 million degrees for nearly 10 secondsThe stable and controllable high temperature of hundreds of millions of degrees is one of the keys to the success of nuclear fusion.
