A German developer's lobbyist filed a complaint with the European Union, claiming that both apple and Google unfairly rejected applications on the subject of coronavirus. This makes apple face lawsuits accusing it of monopolizing the anti epidemic contact tracking app, while at the same time being considered unfair competition. The complaint said that this has involved antitrust issues, apple refused for no reason any coronavirus related applications, including games.

It is not clear whether the two companies will formally tell Mr. Mueller why they were rejected. However, Apple has previously said that it will not allow any covid-19 app to appear on the app store unless it is officially approved by the government and health authorities. When asked about this issue, Google also responded that it would only approve authorized covid-19 applications.
