Hyundai Motor has a new employee working in a showroom in Seoul, South Korea. The employee is an AI driven robot called dal-e, which mainly provides customer service in the exhibition hall. The automaker said it plans to use the robot in different operating environments. Dal-e integrates language processing, facial recognition and automatic movement capabilities, enabling it to provide "wall to wall" services during a pandemic.
Compared with traditional robots, this robot is a messenger that can deliver consistent information to consumers in a more intimate and personalized way. Dal-e will be continuously updated and improved to provide customers with fresh experience in a contactless environment. Hyundai hopes that dal-e can interact with customers in a smooth and interesting way, allowing robots to show customers service.
The robot made its debut today at the Hyundai Motor Show in South Seoul. After the trial operation, the robot will be used in various fields that need to interact with customers. After trial operation, it will be used in other Kia and Hyundai Auto exhibition halls.
