On March 12,A novel coronavirus pneumonia was reported in Zhengzhou, Henan and Shenyang, Liaoning. At present, they have been properly treated and no infection has been found.

According to the information of the National Health Commission, on March 12 and 13, 31 provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the central government) and Xinjiang production and Construction Corps did not report local new cases.

So, why are Fuyang cases not included in the statistics?

In this case,The New Coronavirus pneumonia prevention and control program (Seventh Edition) has clearly stipulated the procedures for the re examination of confirmed cases.

Novel coronavirus pneumonia should be carried out in the case of a confirmed case during the re examination, and the New Coronavirus nucleic acid test should be carried out in the respiratory tract and other samples.

Nucleic acid re examination was positive, with fever, cough and other clinical manifestations. CT imaging showed that the lung lesions were aggravated, so it should be transferred to designated medical institutions for further treatment as soon as possible.

If the nucleic acid test is positive, but there is no clinical manifestation or CT imaging progress, we should continue to isolate and observe, and do a good job in personal protection and other related work.

In other words,For the discovery, reporting and management of new crown confirmed cases, the state has strict standards and audit procedures. For the re positive cases, they are still classified as the previous confirmed cases, and there is a routine re examination and re consultation procedure, which is not regarded as the new confirmed case report.

At present, the proportion of re positive cases is very small, about less than 5%, and has been under control, which should be distinguished from the newly diagnosed cases.

Zhong Nanshan, academician of the Chinese Academy of engineering, Wu Zunyou, chief epidemiologist of the Chinese Center for Disease Control and prevention, and Zhang Wenhong, director of the Department of infection of Huashan Hospital Affiliated to Fudan University, have all made it clear that at present, it is very small.

This is mainly because the majority of Fuyang should be nucleic acid fragments, rather than the virus itself, and generally speaking, nucleic acid fragments are not infectious.
