They work in the office area

My destination is Dongzhang village, Changjia Town, Qingyun County, Shandong Province.
Driving eastward from Qingyun County for 15 minutes, the car stopped in a neat and uniform area of cement buildings. When I got out of the car, the street was full of air. The cold wind of North China Plain was blowing on my cheek. A few steps forward, a big company sign appeared in front of me.
This is the northern part of Shandong Province. More than a dozen left behind rural women worked with him to sell small commodities to Southeast Asia and Taiwan. This is also Dong Bin's kingdom of cross-border e-commerce. In order to make rural women who have hardly been outside Shandong understand where their users are, administrative maps of Southeast Asia, Indonesia and Taiwan are hung on the office walls, and a globe is placed on the desk.
During the National Day in 2020, a group of businessmen from the South were surprised when they went to Dong Bin's office area for research. They could not believe that cross-border e-commerce could be established in rural Shandong. According to the conventional logic, cross-border e-commerce is the game of super Internet giants such as Alibaba, Jingdong and byte beat. Guangzhou, Hangzhou and other coastal areas are the key cities of cross-border e-commerce. What is the foundation for a rural area and a peasant woman in Shandong to play this game with ease?

What if you sell dried sweet potato on Facebook?
Sun Zhenzhen, Mou Mingdong and Yang Shuping are the capable cadres of Dong Bin, and they are also the middle level of the company, managing their respective teams. They are very concerned about the popular products and have a keen judgment on the popular products. Once the customers' eyes focus on a product in a short time, the new wealth code will come. This means that their sales of goods will reduce the refund rate, increase the turnover, and they will get more salary.
There is a habit in the company that after a day's work in the evening, employees will summarize their performance list and release it to the general group of the company.
The company is divided into CEO, area manager, store manager and employee. Sun Zhenzhen, Mou Mingdong and Yang Shuping are area managers. They immediately synchronized the information to the store managers in their respective areas, and let the core team promote the product within a limited time, and sold more than 300 orders a day.
An employee is communicating with a customer
The division of labor of the company is as follows: Dong Bin's team does customer service and marketing work in rural areas of Shandong Province. After negotiating with the customers about the purchase items, the team responsible for logistics delivery in Guangdong Province delivers the goods from the local area to the customers.
During their hard work, they also encountered crises. For a period of time, Facebook officials reorganized the accounts on the whole platform, and a large number of accounts in their hands were restricted.
In a long period of practical experience, they summed up an iron rule: once an account starts to sell goods, it can't be interrupted. No matter how busy the number holder is, they have to publish several kinds of product information on the personal dynamic homepage every day, otherwise the account will soon be judged as a Zombie account. It's a trick in their game with Facebook.
This trick is mainly aimed at small and medium-sized customers. After all, big customers have their own purchasing channels and suppliers, so it is difficult for them to buy dried sweet potato on Facebook.
From wedding photography boss to cross border e-commerce apprentice
Dong Bin's employees are all from nearby villages. In the past, men went out to work and women took care of the elderly and children at home. Now, the life path of these female workers has become a three-point line: taking care of the elderly at home, picking up children at school, and earning money in the company.
In order to make it convenient for female employees to go to work, the location and commuting time of the company are all school centered, and each office location is very close to the local village primary school or kindergarten. The company also stipulates that they go to work at 8:00 in the morning, have a rest from 12:00 to 2:00 in the afternoon, and leave work at 6:00 in the afternoon. In this way, it will be convenient for female employees to pick up their children at noon and cook for them. If the school leaves at 6:00 p.m., the company will adjust the off-duty time to 5:30, so that employees can easily go to the school in advance to wait for children.
On the afternoon of March 9, hedgehog commune saw employees with their children at work in Dong Bin's offices. They need to spare some time to take care of their children. The children are very clever and sit quietly beside their mother's station. For more than an hour after 6 p.m., the office is empty, but many employees take care of their families. After dinner, they will continue to return to work until they go home to rest at night.
The office area is empty during a break
Dong Bin was born in 1982. After graduating from junior high school, he left his hometown to work in the northeast for survival, which inspired his first thinking about China's human society and business world: many business projects can be carried out simultaneously, rather than from two to three. But his family was very opposed to his work in Northeast China. Instead of making money, they asked for money from their family.
The core of cross-border e-commerce is the supply of goods, which Dong Bin came into contact with the next month. From looking for customers on Facebook to soliciting traffic, to back-end delivery and capital return, he understood. After returning to Zibo, Shandong Province in 2017, he made a firm decision: close all wedding photo shops, cut off the back road, and do his best to be a cross-border e-commerce.
After returning to Qingyun County, Dong Bin used a freight company in Guangzhou as the source of supply chain goods. He called four or five people who had worked in wedding photography with him to rent an office space in the county seat to recruit people for a big fight. Considering that target users use Facebook in the afternoon and evening, they set their working hours from 1:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
Dong Bin released the recruitment information in the official account and WeChat group. He was in a great dilemma of not being able to recruit people in the city.
After the first store opened, Dong Bin quickly took the company's elders to train them. Three months later, all the three key figures in the team were transferred to other villages to open up branches. This time, Dong Bin still adopted the method of opening multiple operation stores in a short time, and opened office areas in several villages in the east of Qingyun county. In the second half of 2018, Dong Bin's company opened branches in seven towns of Qingyun County, with the store manager as the core person in charge.
Many employees move their pots and pans to the corner of the office
In addition to the shortcomings in management, Facebook is also renovating the platform accounts. A large number of accounts in the hands of Dong Bin's team are either banned or in the period of current restriction. Many new people's accounts used after entering the team fail to play their normal functions, and it is difficult to find suitable customers.
After these people left, the company's reputation was also damaged. In China's rural areas, the neighboring blood is still an important link of communication. Word of mouth, people who can't make money will say that this company is not good, and people who can make money will not make it public. There are different opinions about this company in the field of rural public opinion.
Dong Bin also suffered a big blow. In the early stage of business development, the logistics system of partners was adopted. The people who directly gave the money to Dong Bin were not customers, but the people in the logistics system. Once, a partner ran away and didn't pay Dong Bin, so he suffered a big loss. Since then, he has built his own logistics and transportation channels, forming a closed-loop business transaction.
This is one of the important reasons why he can become a cross-border e-commerce in rural Shandong. The front-end operation is in rural Shandong, labor-intensive and inexpensive; the back-end logistics is in the first tier cities of Guangdong, efficient and developed.
An employee's office space
Dong Bin team later learned from the lessons and developed a relatively complete staff human resources system. The store manager should be responsible for planning, promotion, sales, customer relationship management and other systematic business work, and the work content of ordinary employees also has specific provisions.
Dong Bin also pays close attention to the attitude of top-level design towards cross-border e-commerce. In 2020, the third China International Import Expo in Shanghai sent a signal to him: China will continue to promote the development of cross-border e-commerce and cultivate new momentum of foreign trade. The number of outward trade parcels and other policy factors were affected.
Before the Spring Festival in 2021, Dong Bin called all his more than 40 store managers to a store for an annual meeting. He looked back on the stage and explained the plan.
On February 21, when dongzhangdian opened its shop after the new year, they put six barrels of fireworks in front of the door. When the fireworks roared in the sky, it implied the coming year's great prosperity.
