In addition, officials have previously revealed that tianwen-1 will continue to explore the pre selected landing area in the near future,

In the period before landing, the orbiter of tianwen-1 will map the morphology and geology of Mars, and use the orbiter subsurface radar to measure the soil characteristics and water ice distribution on Mars, and collect the data of the ionosphere, electromagnetic field and gravitational field of Mars.
