At the end of 2019, a new coronavirus epidemic suddenly caught people all over the world by surprise. After three months of United protest, China took the lead in controlling the epidemic.

Although the domestic epidemic has subsided, relevant experts have been tracking the source of the new coronavirus,On January 14 this year, 17 Chinese experts and 17 foreign experts formed a joint expert group, which was divided into three groups: epidemiology, molecular traceability and animal and environment. The 28 day global traceability study in China was carried out in Wuhan.

The joint expert group evaluated four paths for the introduction of the virus into humans,

At the press conference today, Liang Wannian, leader of the Chinese expert group on the joint research on the traceability of new coronavirus, released the latest report on the traceability of new coronavirus, as follows:

1. A coronavirus was found in bats and pangolins, which was highly similar to the gene sequence of the new coronavirus, but the similarity was not enough to make it the direct ancestor of the new coronavirus;Minks and cats are highly susceptible to NCV. It is suggested that bats, pangolins, weasels, cats and other species may be potential natural hosts.

2. No new coronavirus was found in bats in Hubei Province and a large number of domestic animals, poultry and wild animals in China. No evidence of new coronavirus circulating in domestic animals, poultry and wild animals was found before and after the outbreak.
